PERMANENT MAKEUP FAQ

Technically, permanent cosmetics procedures are considered permanent because the color is implanted into the upper reticular part of the dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. However, as with any tattoo, fading can and often does occur, requiring periodic maintenance, color re-enhancement or color refreshing. Your skin is living tissue that’s subject to change from various external and internal factors.

When placed into the skin, any color will also become susceptible to change, most commonly fading. Permanency to some degree should be expected and planned for, again it is to the degree which is often hard to predict. The process is just a little different, but all procedures heal, peel and fade. It revolves around the pigment insertion depth, the volume of color placed into the skin, machine or manual tool used and techniques used.

You May Not Have This Procedure If:

  • You are under 18

  • You are prone to Keloid scars

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • You have been on Accutane within 1 year

  • You have irritation of the skin of any kind such as rash, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, sunburn on the area of procedure.

  • You are on Retin-A or Retinols. Be off 7 days before appointment and avoid 30 days after procedure.

  • Diabetic (consult your doctor)

  • Have HIV or Hepatitis or any other viral infections and/or diseases

  • Undergoing Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)

  • Epilepsy

  • A Pacemaker or major heart problems

  • Had an Organ transplant

  • Sick (cold, flu, etc. Will affect the healing process, please reschedule) You generally don’t heal well and develop infections easily

  • If your old tattoo is too dark (please contact me to send a picture so I can see how faded your old tattoo is)

  • If you are oily or extremely oily, Microblading may not work for you.

  • PLEASE NOTE:  WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICES TO ANYONE

Microblading/PMU is a big step & requires research on your part.

This is my right of refusal as an artist & business owner. This is for your benefit as well as mine. I will always do my absolute best to make my clients happy, but sometimes it’s just a no go!
